Puff pastry in small square pieces
Fluffy pastry that puffs for mini pies and vols-au-vent
20 square pieces puff pastry, a specially designed fluffy pastry, made from premium flour and vegetable fat that rises while baking, creating layers of very thin pastry. It is suitable for sweet and savoury mini pies but also for fluffy vols –au-vent, sweet and savoury, for croissants, scones, mille-feuilles and your own cooking and pâtisserie creations.
Each item contains 2 individually sealed bags of 10 square pieces with a membrane in between so that they won’t stick during defrosting.

Defrosting instructions:
Remove from packaging one or both bags (according to how many you want to use) and let it thaw at room temperature for at least 2 hours in its sealed packaging so that it won’t lose its moisture. Do not forget if you do not intend to use them all, to place them back immediately to the freezer before they defrost.

Mini Square Turnovers
For making Mini Square Turnovers:
Defrost the mini puff pastries as per the instructions. Line a pan with baking paper and place 10 mini puff pastries in line. With a spoon, place some filling on each, making sure the filling does not reach the edges.
Use another mini puff pastry sheet to cover the filling. Press the edges of the two pastry sheets together to ensure they stick firmly. Use a fork to give the edges a nice pattern. Mix the egg yolk with 1 to 2 tablespoons of water and brush the pies.
