Ingredients
For 24 biscuits:
1 package KANAKI SHORTCRUST Pastry
250 gr. dry figs
1 cup orange juice
Zest from 1 orange
4 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp sesame
1 egg yolk
4 tbsp melted butter
Preparation - Steps
Mince the figs and mix them with the orange juice and zest. Let them soak for 30 min. Strain them and beat them to a pulp in the mixer. Prepare the biscuits according to the instructions. Place them in a shallow baking pan and bake them in a preheated oven, with extra heat on the oven elements, at 180°C for 40 min.
For the folded biscuits:
Open 1 puff pastry sheet. Smear with half the butter and spread half the figs mixture on top.
Fold into a roll starting from the larger side. Repeat with the other sheet and the remaining fig mixture.
Beat the egg yolk with 2 tbsp water and smear the rolls. Sprinkle with the sugar and sesame. Cut each roll in 12 pieces.
