Ζαμπονοτυρόπιτα με Καταΐφι

Ham and Cheese Pie with Kataifi (Angel’s Hair)


1 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
1 lt full milk
150 gr. myzithra cheese
150 gr. grana cheese
150 gr. yellow cheese
200 gr. ham
Olive oil

Preparation - Steps

Start with the bechamel sauce. In a wide saucepan, over strong heat, add 1 tbsp butter and 3 tbsp flour. Beat the mixture with an egg whisker, until it starts to roast. Add a little salt. Pour the milk, in two doses, stirring constantly. Bring to boil, add the various types of cheese and the ham, in cubes. Add the pepper and stir.

While you wait for the bechamel sauce to cool down, open the fibers of the KANAKI Shredded Dough with your fingers.

Oil the surface of two small baking pans, spread well the shredded dough and pour the bechamel on top. Cover with another layer of shredded dough, sprinkle with plenty of oil and bake at 170 °C for approx. 1 hr, until the pie turns golden brown.

The crunchier and tastier cheese and ham pie with Shredded Dough is ready.
