Bites with Turkish Delights and Almonds

Ingredients

For 30 pieces:
1 package KANAKI EXTRA FINE FILO Pastry
400 gr. skinned almonds
400 gr. rose-flavoured Turkish delights
3 egg whites
200 gr. melted butter
1 cup caster sugar
4 tbsp. rosewater

Preparation - Steps

PlaceTurkish delights uncovered in the refrigerator for 1 hour in order to be able to cut them more easily. Put almonds in a food processor and grind them until they become powder. Finely chop the Turkish delights and place them in a bowl together with the almonds. Add the egg whites (unbeaten) and stir. Make the rolls and bake them in preheated oven at 180°C for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and, while warm, spray them with rosewater. Sprinkle with a little caster sugar and allow them to cool. Once cool, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and cut each roll into 15 pieces.

For making Mini Filo Treats:
Lay the pastry sheets on a clean surface. Brush 7 sheets with butter and stack them together to form 7 layers.

Spread half the filling along the longest side of the stack of sheets. Roll it up brush with butter and place on the tin. Continue with the remaining ingredients.

When baked rolls have cooled down, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and cut each roll into 15 pieces.
